A number line is a picture of all real numbers. It looks like this:
When you have two different numbers, one is larger than the other. When a number is larger than another, that number is farther to the right on the number line. 6 is greater than 5, and 5 is greater than 4. They are all greater than zero or any of the negative numbers.
